The Office of Multicultural and Religious Affairs

The Office of Multicultural and Religious Affairs (OMRA) works to improve the quality of life for all Memphians by:

  • connecting new citizens to resources and information through community outreach, referral services, advocacy and education.
  • collaborating with city divisions on the efficient usage of language translation services to improve the ability of all communities to meaningfully access city services.
  • building relationships between the local government and nonprofit organizations, both secular and faith-based, to better serve the needs of the Memphis community.
  • encouraging ethnic and religious communities to participate in the continued development of Memphis as a diverse and welcoming city.

The City of Memphis offers Language Line Service. These services are provided for our limited or non English speaking citizens in the City of Memphis. If you are in need a trash bin, concerned about an abandoned house, pot hole in the street, or need a car inspected. Don't worry "We Speak Your Language".
Language Line Services

This service interprets English to more than 150 languages.
