2009 Summer Day Camp
Memphis Park Services offers a Summer Day Camp (ages 5 to 12) at all its Community Centers and a Summer Teen Camp (ages 13 to 15) at selected sites. A Summer Day Camp is also offered at the Skinner Development Center. This popular program runs for 9 weeks and includes educational classes, recreation and field trips.
Please note that four (4) sites are at full capacity and are not accepting applications; Bert Ferguson, Hickory Hill, Marion Hale and McFarland Community Centers.
Registration Dates:
- Early Registration: February 29th (12 noon until 8:00 p.m.)
(all Community Centers)
- Regular Registration: March 28th (9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.)
- Late Registration: Tuesday May 26 - Friday May 29, 2009 (4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
(At all centers where capacity has not been reached.)
Camp Dates: June 2nd to August 1st
Camp Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday (except July 4th )
- Early Arrival: 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. (additional charge)
- No Late Pickups
Meals: Box lunches & snacks will be provided daily by Memphis City Schools at no charge.
Camp Fees:
- Regular Rate: $162.00 per child
- Discount Rate: $81.00 per child (parents on government assistance)
- Non-Resident Rate: $324.00 per child
- Early Arrival
- $35.00 for one child
- $55.00 for two or more children
- Payable in advance. No daily early arrival fees accepted.

Mandatory Parent's Meeting
Please be advised that there will be a mandatory parent?s meeting scheduled by each individual Community Center prior to the start of the camp. Parents and guardians will be given more specific information on rules and regulations, activities, and other processes and goals of the Summer Camps.
Your attendance will ensure that your child(ren) have a safe and fun summer at camp.
